• Question: If a tribe took you hostage and you had chemicals what will you do?

      Wow that’s a strange question!

      I have no idea what I’d do! I don’t really know enough chemistry to be able to fight the tribe with the chemicals that I might have! I guess the best I could do is to try to tell the tribe that the chemicals I have are worth a lot of money and I could help them sell the chemicals if they don’t kill me. Either that or I would wait for somebody to give the tribe what they want in return for my freedom!

      Hmmmm. I think it has to depend on what chemicals I have. If I had sodium chloride I could make them a nice stew. If I had access to frozen carbon dioxide I could create a cloud of smoke and run away. I’m not a fighter and I’ve forgotten a lot of the chemistry I knew at school so I guess I’d go with Dave’s idea and tell them how valuable the chemicals are!
