      Hi alexist

I really want to work with stem cells from fat and from the umbilical cord because both of these have lots of stem cells in them, they are quite easy to get hold of and seem to be pretty good at making bone and cartilage in the lab.

I’d also like to work with induced pluripotent stem cells. To be honest there’s loads I’d like to do which is why I need to become a lecturer and get my students to do these things for me!

      Hi alexist,
So far I have only examined the role of the protein I work on in mouse cells so I would really like to examine it in human cells too!

I’d also really like to try doing some work with iPS cells to make comparisons with the embryonic stem cells I work with at the moment. Right now I have got some experiments planned for the next 6 months or so, which hopefully I’ll have time to do. I’m wanting to extend what I’ve found out about the way embryonic stem cells use nutrients to learn more about the way this is controlled. In the future I’d also like to do some work with cancer cells.
