      Hi keishademi99,
      Good question! Cancer usually happens when a cell gets a mutation. Normally cells are really good at checking themselves out for mutations (and they kill themselves if they find one) but cancer cells somehow get around this and so are allowed to keep growing. Sometimes then get even more mutations then and just keep growing and invading new tissues and messing things up! So really it’s a disease of rogue cells getting out of control.
