We need cells because that is what we are made of, without them we wouldn’t exist. All living things are made of cells, they’re like tiny building blocks that make up everything that is alive.

Matt’s exactly right. We’re made of cells, so we absolutely need them. They’re responsible for everything that happens inside us and everything we do, so they’re really quite important! The cells in our brain let us think, the cells in our muscles let us move, the cells in our heart pump blood around our bodies, etc, etc.

I find it actually quite mindblowing thinking about the way our bodies work by thinking about us as basically being a complex pile of cells that work together to be us!
